Summer

So after the serious post earlier I have decided to do a more informal post. I am so excited about SUMMER this year. I have a family holiday arranged and even though it is only to Cornwall I am really excited. I love spending time in Cornwall because it a so calm and peaceful, it really feels like a place I could call home.

This will be my last family holiday as next summer I am planning on going to a Greek island with my girls as it it my last summer before university.

This summer will also be very special to me as my boyfriend of just of two and a half years is going off to university in September which will be very hard for me but I really believe that we can stay together.
This summer I have compiled a list of 25 things I want to do over the summer. I've never done anything like this before but as this summer will be quite poignant in my life I decided to choose 25 things I want to do and I will take a picture every time I do that thing so it remains with me always. So, here is the list of 25 things I want to do during my summer:

1. I want to go camping
2. I want to go to a zoo
3. I want to go for a picnic
4. I want to stargaze
5. I want to go to the beach
6. I want to go on a bike ride
7. I want to bake a cake
8. I want to build a sandcastle
9. I want to go in the sea (body-boarding)
10. I want to play crazy golf or mini golf
11. I want to sunbathe
12. I want to make smoothies
13. I want to drink iced tea
14. I want to watch the sunrise/sunset
15. I want to have a BBQ
16. I want to 'cloud watch'
17. I want to go out for a posh meal
18. I want to go bowling
19. I want to go to Blackpool
20. I want to have a movie night
21. I want to go for a hike
22. I want to build a pillow fort
23. I want to go swimming
24. I want to toast marshmallows
25. I want to PARTY

I will take a photo and post a blog every time I do one of the 25 things from my list. Why don't you try and do the same, it doesn't have to be 25 things. I could be more or it could be less. Just enjoy yourself and try not to take things for granted, even if you're not going away you can still have fun and enjoy yourself. Whether you're going to spend this summer with your family, your friends, your boyfriend or even if you are on your own just go out and do something different. Yet most of all have fun.

Insecurity is a killer.

Insecurity is a killer. You hear in the news all the time about young girls and boys deciding that it would be easier to take their own life than face their own insecurities.
Throughout your life people will cause you to have insecurities. They'll tell you that you're ugly, fat, spotty, bad hair, disgusting clothing etc... I'm going to tell you something now. You may not believe me but honestly don't listen to them. They aren't worth your time. One thing I can promise you is that they are jealous of you! They want to be more like you so they make themselves feel better by making you feel like s***. They know what they're doing so don't kid yourself they're not your 'friends'.
Those who are your friends will pick you up. They WILL tell you when something is wrong or you've said something you shouldn't. On the other hand they will try and make you feel better about yourself when you are down and you can find them telling you that you look really nice or that they like your outfit. They are the ones to keep close.
I know that it hurts to be told little things about you that others don't like but don't take any notice! You are who you are, those who try and put you down aren't worth a single sad second so keep that head high and stay strong.
